TeenTech Awards support

TeenTech, in association with the CILIP Information Literacy Group, has produced a series of ten nicely-designed leaflets aimed at encouraging school students to develop basic research skills. Importantly, all this material has some bearing on information literacy. The colourful flyers, available as pdf files, each focus on a particular question that 14-16 year olds in particular might like to reflect on during the course of their studies: developing aims and ideas for projects; why it’s important to research before starting a project; how to conduct research; searching for information; making the most of out Google; evaluating information that has been found through searching; referencing research; questionnaire-writing; linking research to needs; and intellectual property. All in all, a clear and attractive introduction to important concepts and methods that should serve young people well in the course of their education and of their professional lives.
